YAM-rico-BURGER

I wanted a burger, but not just ANY burger. I was craving something special, different and made for me.

Right before lunch time, before everything gets busy, I decided to stop at the Yamburger. It was raining and I had two hours to spare. This place used to be a food truck and now it’s located in the same place where it used to be, but with walls and all! The layout/ location of the kitchen it’s definitely awkward, but who cares? It works!

A big chalkboard greets you with the appetizers and the daily specials. I  sat on one of the big family style tables and ordered from the menu. While I waited for my food, I enjoyed some old school salsa music and listened to the rain fall on the balcony's zinc roof.

Shortly after, I received my -super delicious- “Yamrico” burger.

It was loaded with the burger patty, ‘longanizas’, ‘queso de papa’, ‘platanutres’, caramelized onions, tomatoes and lettuce. All burger come with a sauce just right for them, mine was ‘calypso’. I asked about it but the server only told me it had Mayo and Ketchup… he couldn’t give me any more information because it was ‘especial’. I also ordered sweet potato fries and those had some spicy guava ketchup that took me straight to my happy-yummy place!
Everything had a very special combination of flavors. You can tell how much importance Chef Yamuel Bigio puts into his burger joint, just by looking at the branding on the burger buns and the creativity of the menu items.
I was very happy with my burger and I’m sure that when you go visit, you’ll be pleased too!
